Beauty Buys From Your Favorite Fashion Brands

Have you heard of the latest Dior Beauty launch? How about the newest YSL foundation? If you haven't, you're not alone. Since the beauty industry became its own phenomenon over the last few years, thanks to an outburst of popularity online, consumers have become more aware of indie beauty brands, and less interested in legacy department store offerings.

Major mistake. Some of the most iconic beauty products can be found at your nearest department store (my favorite is Nordstrom). If you're ready to take the plunge into luxury beauty, I have a few suggestions as to where to start:

Chanel Les Beiges Foundation

According to the internet, this foundation is one of the most versatile launches of the past year. With medium coverage, this formula works to prevent too much shine from developing on your skin. It works best when applied with a beauty blender over a brush, which could result in a sheerer application. The finish is not entirely matte or dewy, so give this one a try if you have normal to combination skin.

Chanel Vitalumière Aqua Foundation

This Chanel foundation, on the other hand, is not meant for complete coverage. If you're looking for a naturally even complexion with a bit of a glow, you might want to get your hands on this Chanel product! The formula is a bit more watery than usual, so a little bit of this product goes a long way. Because of its watery formula, it is best to apply with your fingers or with a brush so as not to waste too much of the product.

Dior Diorskin Forever Perfect Foundation

Dior has some of the best foundations in the luxury beauty market, and this one may be the #1 most-loved. With a cult-like following in the beauty community, the Diorskin Forever foundation has a matte finish and is extremely long-wearing. Wear this foundation if you're looking for a flawless look or if you're attending a major event.

Dior Diorskin Airflash Spray Foundation

Dior was one of the first to jump into the spray foundation market - and they nailed it. Their applicator is one of the best out there and provides an airbrushed finish. I have seen vloggers spray this directly on their faces, but for the best application, spray the formula onto a beauty blender and press it into the skin.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation

Known as the foundation that Kim Kardashian West uses, this formula has a good reputation for a reason. If a megastar like Kim K. trusts this foundation to last all night at any event, then it's worth the price tag. 'Nough said.

Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel

If you've ever seen a vlogger use a cream bronzer on their channel, it was probably this one. Well known in the beauty community, this product has a natural finish and silky application, which makes it perfect for anything from a no-makeup look to full glam. Although it carries a hefty price tag, this jar of bronzer will last you a long long time.

Guerlain Météorites Pearls

This product is hands-down one of the most gorgeous additions to any vanity. The unique color-correcting technology in this powder formula was created to use as a finishing touch. It will even out any blotchiness or redness that may be left over after you have finished your makeup application, and leave behind a velvety finish that reflects light in a beautiful way.

Marc Jacobs Air Blush Soft Glow Duo

As someone who lives for a natural flush, this product stuck out to me as soon as it launched. With complementary shades in each compact, you can achieve a flawlessly blended blush application with minimal effort. The formula is silky, rather than chalky, and doesn't have glitter which means it won't exaggerate any texture on your cheeks.

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat

There isn't a beauty blogger alive who doesn't know about this concealer/undereye highlighter. Its brightening formula has some coverage to conceal dark circles or discoloration and works to reflect light in the areas you need it most. With hydrating hyaluronic acid and vitamin E, you'll get a flawless finish without looking cakey.

Dior Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara

Without a doubt, this is the most-talked-about luxury mascara. Volume is king for this mascara, which creates thicker, darker lashes instantly. This formula is also known to be able to hold a curl for hours, so if you have an issue with your lashes growing straight out, you might want to give this one a try.

Marc Jacobs Eye-Conic Multi-Finish Eyeshadow Palette

I have heard only good things about these eyeshadow palettes. Although you don't get a *ton* of product in each palette for the price, the formula more than makes up for it. Think about it: would you rather have a ton of patchy shades or a few shades that are perfect, not powdery? With a color palette for any skin tone or preference, you'll have a hard time choosing your favorite.

Tom Ford Eyeshadow Quad

If you're looking for true luxury from an eyeshadow quad, then look no further than this one from Tom Ford. Each quad has gorgeously luxe color options with formulas that are as silky as they come. On a more practical note, the formulas in each quad differ from matte to shimmer to satin so you can create any look from everyday to girl's night out.

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Shine Lipstick

As far as luxury lipsticks go, this one is on the more realistic side. With a formula that is comprised of 65% oils, this lipstick melts into your lips for a sheer application with hydrating benefits. There is a bevy of shades to choose from, from bright fuschias to subdued nudes, each with an almost vinyl-like shine. Warning: these lipsticks aren't long wearing and they aren't meant to be. Get ready to reapply as needed!
