Ane-Amour-New-York-Fashion-Week-Fall-2017 Well folks, it's that time of year again. New York Fashion Week Fall 2017 has just wrapped up, and we are here to give our thoughts! This season was unquestionably an important one. On the heels of an integral election in America, New York Fashion Week served as the first place where designers could make a statement about the current political climate. They had their first opportunity to make their voices heard. However, in a quest to not take fashion so seriously, we've decided to keep it light here at Elsewhere Magazine. Check out our thoughts on New York Fashion Week Fall 2017 below!

Marc Jacobs

Marc Jacobs did it BIG this season. Street became more than athleisure - it became chic. By employing traditional checks, shearling and mini dresses, Jacobs managed to make streetwear new and interesting again. No Adidas striping here - just gorgeous, inimitable style.

Where we would wear it: On a beautiful New York City day in Central Park - while posing for a perfect IG shot of course.

The celebrity we want to see rock it: Hailey Baldwin.

Prabal Gurung

Prabal Gurung succeeded in making the biggest splash this season. While the collection itself was epic (the statement collars! the cable knit textures!), the finale brought every piece of political tension to a head. Prabal Gurung sent his models down the runway for a finale full of feminist statements. We'll take one of each of these graphic tees, please.

Where we would wear it: To every black-tie event we've been invited to this fall... if we were invited to any.

The celebrity we want to see rock it: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

Pamella Roland

Pamella Roland had our personal favorite collection this season. Every look that she sent down the runway was incredibly luxe, with deep, delicious jewel tones dominating her color palette. We were living for each capelet and fur collar and the shots of sparkle didn't hurt her cause. There's no getting around it: Pamella Roland made her models look wealthy.

Where we would wear it: To a gothic-themed couture dinner. Or as modern Game of Thrones cosplay.

The celebrity we want to see rock it: Sophie Turner.

Favorite Beauty Look of New York Fashion Week Fall 2017

La Perla

Those bold brows. That perfectly pouty berry lip. The floral pins!! What more can we say. This romantic, yet sultry beauty look had our hearts the moment it made its way down the runway. You can bet that we'll be pulling out our berry liquid lips (and our shimmery gloss to highlight of course) next Friday night.

Favorite Front Row of New York Fashion Week Fall 2017

Marc Jacobs

The front row at Marc Jacobs was dominated by Young Hollywood. Most rising stars were in attendance, including Andra Day, Ashley Benson and Amandla Stenberg. Although many front rows lacked serious star power this season, Marc Jacobs flipped convention on its head. These up-and-coming celebrities replaced big name stars, but packed serious style icon punch.
