Confessions of a Model Snob: 2015 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show
If you're reading this, I'm very excited.
If you're reading this, that means that it's the day that the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show airs. It's one of my favorite days of the year - it's the day that many of my favorite models hit the runway in kitschy, but gorgeous, designs.
The big news this year regarding the show was the sheer number of newcomers. Eleven new women became a part of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show family this year, including two names you may recognize: Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner. The brand is known for its ability to launch models into superstardom, but by bringing eleven new women into the fold they've really outdone themselves.
The brand made waves earlier this year when they announced that they would be adding ten new Angels. Models that I mentioned last year including Martha Hunt, Taylor Hill and Stella Maxwell were all added to the roster, as well as social media stars Sara Sampaio and Romee Strijd. The Angels were taken from both high fashion and commercial backgrounds, making them a bit more versatile and varied than the Angels before them. These women join the ranks of Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel and Behati Prinsloo - AKA they have big shoes to fill.
You'll see the new Angels, as well as many models you may have never heard of at this year's show. Here are some faces you should keep an eye on:
from l to r: DANIELA BRAGA, FLAVIA LUCINI, MARIA BORGES, SANNE VLOET, VALERY KAUFMAN
I'll be watching the 2015 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show at my campus' screening hosted by our PINK reps at The Hub. Where will you be watching?
