🌎✨The World✨🌎 I’ve been turning to tarot more and more to answer some of the larger questions that I’ve been asking myself. This card is always a welcome sight for me, indicating a feeling of wholeness or completion. It asks us to consider the ways in which we could feel more complete, and how we are stopping ourselves from achieving that goal. We are so focused on what’s next, what we want, what we think needs to change, what could be better. This card acts as a shock to the system, and an insight into what life could be like if we were open to its possibilities. What questions do you have about tarot? The energy that was present in this room is difficult to describe. ✨ Generations of women came together to celebrate the launch of @todayididitright, an approach and self-connection journal created by two women who had a vision of a world in which they could “go to bed at the end of the day saying today I did it right”. We listened as they told their story, participated in a workshop to find our own “right”, had a few epiphanies, and, most of all, we connected. This was a place where we were free to share what had been holding us back, and the “shoulds” that we were determined to let go of. We found that no matter where we were in life, we had felt societal pressure to live a certain way. No more. Last night was a memorable night, if not only for the beautiful space and meaningful conversation, then for the inspiration that I carried with me when I headed home. 💭 What’s been inspiring you lately? I’ve always had an entrepreneurial mindset and have spent a significant amount of time brainstorming, daydreaming and researching ways in which I can use my skills in order to create a product or service that can help others. This book by Emma Gannon is inspiring me to fully commit to one of my latest and greatest ideas: Personal Beauty Stylist. I recently revamped my offerings to make it a more personalized, 1:1 experience. There’s just something about wedding season that makes my heart flutter 💕 In addition to getting to see incredible friends, eat tons of cake, and request more Taylor Swift songs than the average human wants to hear, major events like weddings are a great chance to test makeup for longevity and photograph-ability. Things I learned this weekend: @kkwbeauty concealer is life-changing, and without @glossier boy brow my eyebrows disappear in a flash 💥
The #GoodDayMarket at @one_onethousand is a dream 😍 I popped by for a plant mister by @wildewoodshop and left wanting so much more. I’ll definitely be back! If you’re interested in supporting local makers, the pop up is open from 11-4 today. There are vintage rugs, prints, artisanal beauty and bath products, jewelry and PLANTS available for you to peruse. 🌿 heading to this event was part of my monthly goal to integrate myself more into my community, and it was so great to meet the creatives behind these products. #emmaelsewhere
